  Built entirely from 725 tubing, Reynolds mandrel butt and heat-treat this alloy so that thinner walls can be used compared to non-heat-treated steels.
  
  This makes it our ultimate workhorse, delivering a refined ride quality and for a modest weight penalty, keeps the pricing keen.
  
  Completely modernised, the 725 frameset adds 12mm thru-axles for compatibility with the latest wheelsets.
  
  The ability to run up to a 45mm rear tyre and a 50mm front tyre on 700c rims increase the all-terrain ability of the Croix - and it doesn't end there. If you want to experiment with 650B wheels, you could run up to a 44mm rear tyre and a 50mm front tyre.
  
  Flat mounts for disc brakes, internal rear brake hose routing, a third bottle mount, rack and guard mounts and fixings for Anything Cages on the forks complete the package.

Croix De Fer 853 Frameset

• The latest Croix de Fer 853 is a reimagined masterpiece - how will you interpret it?
  
  Our new, updated Croix de Fer 853 frameset gives you a little more to think about, and we believe that's a good thing.
  
  You can now officially run our original adventure bike with up to a 45mm rear tyre and a 50mm front tyre on 700c rims - and it doesn't end there. If you want to experiment with 650B wheels, you could run up to a 44mm rear tyre and a 50mm front tyre.
  
  To some it might be the perfect canvas for a traditional tourer - while others will go off the beaten track and dabble with messier brush strokes.
  
  What remains the same is the heart of the bike. Constructed from Reynolds 853 tubing throughout, this is air hardened. The benefits of the process are particularly noticeable in the weld area where, unlike conventional steel alloys, strength can actually increase after cooling in air immediately after welding.
  
  The material is also heat-treated to give high strength and damage resistance, and the steel properties allow thin walls to be used, so that lower weight but fatigue-resistant structures can be made.
  
  Stick with the stock steel fork for a utilitarian build, or upgrade to the carbon CGR1 fork and add finish it with a 1X drivetrain for something a bit more daring.

Croix De Fer Ti Frameset

  Our unashamed dream do-it-all machine, the Croix de Fer Ti comes with a full carbon fork to drop over a kilogram against its steel counterparts.
  
  It's not just weight though - the sublimely smooth ride quality and unmistakable zing you get from any quality titanium build is present and correct. Not to mention the fact that the raw finish is a thing of unmatched beauty.
  
  Tube profiles are carefully selected and designed to give the new double-butted titanium platform a stiff and efficient pedalling platform, retaining the same connected feel and 'in-saddle' comfort for which the steel Croix de Fer is famed.
  
  The fully oval ├ÿ28.6/35mm toptube and cleverly swaged seat tube are all engineered to deliver high levels of comfort.
  
  The large diameter ├ÿ44mm oval-rounded trapezoid downtube, beefy S-Bend mountain bike-derived chainstays, tapered ├ÿ56-46mm headtube and ├ÿ34.9mm lower seat tube OD help ensure direct and efficient power transfer and pinpoint sharp handling.

Vagabond Frameset

• That sweet middle ground between a cyclocross bike and a 29er that makes it the best all-around bike one can build. Featuring a Reynolds 725 tubeset and chromoly fork, both now have 12mm thru-axles to maximise compatibility with the latest range of 29er mountain bike wheels. This is the canvas for those builds that many say should never happen ┬û but we know the demand is out there. Some people take one look at the frame and want to build it up with a more road-focused (albeit larger tyred) build in mind, others, see knobbly tyres and mud. Pick and choose your gearing and wheelset options to suit ┬û from narrow road slicks to the full range of 2.1-inch XC race rubber.
